Overview
What separates elite performers from the rest, whether racing at the top of triathlon or leading a business, isn't talent alone. It's the mindset, systems and behaviours that hold up under pressure.
This November, the world's best triathletes arrive in Mount Maunganui for the first ever World Triathlon Cup Tauranga. It's the start of a three-year run that brings the World Triathlon Championship Series to Tauranga in 2027 and the World Championship Finals in 2028. Two days before race day, Triathlon New Zealand and BREWYD are bringing the business community into that story.
This evening is built around one question: what can leaders learn from people who perform at the very top of their sport? Drawing on sports science, neuroscience and behavioural analytics, we'll look at how world-class athletes and world-class organisations build performance that lasts, and how the same principles apply to leadership, culture and results.
The evening is held at He Puna Manawa, Tauranga's new library and community hub and the first building in the Te Manawataki o Te Papa civic precinct. It's one of the first events held in the building.
Who it's for
Business owners, founders, executives, directors and senior leaders from Tauranga and across New Zealand, along with people from sport who want to see how elite principles work in business.
